Volleyball Game Preview: Marlborough Mustangs vs. Diamond Bar Brahmas + Official Tickets

The Marlborough Mustangs will face off against the Diamond Bar Brahmas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Marlborough made easy work of Immaculate Heart and carried off a 3-0 win.

The victory didn't come easy: Immaculate Heart scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Diamond Bar rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Warriors 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Brahmas.

Diamond Bar was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-17, 19-25, 26-24, 15-8.

Marlborough better keep an eye on Ava Furumoto. She was instrumental in Diamond Bar's win, getting 16 digs and six assists. Furumoto has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Diamond Bar's win bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Marlborough, their victory bumped their record up to 18-15.

Marlborough beat Diamond Bar 2-0 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Brahmas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
