Auburn entered their tilt with Williamsville on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They had just enough and edged the Williamsville Bullets out 32-29. The 32-point effort marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Despite the loss, Williamsville still got an impressive performance from Carson Doran, who posted 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Shoufler, who had six points along with five assists and five boards.

Auburn's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Williamsville, they moved to 16-1 with that loss, which also ended their 16-game winning streak.

Auburn and Williamsville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Auburn will square off against Pittsfield at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday up 469 places (39 vs. 508). Auburn is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Meanwhile, Williamsville (ranked 27th) will meet St. Teresa (ranked 625th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
