A Season-Best Effort from Aydden Cherry Leads West Stokes over Reidsville
Sadly, Aydden Cherry posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead West Stokes over Reidsville on Friday. Cherry rushed for 206 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.8 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 60 yards.
With the loss, West Stokes broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. Cherry and West Stokes will welcome McMichael at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Dionte Neal Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
Reidsville was led to victory by Dionte Neal, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Neal rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also threw for 335 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.4% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win for Reidsville keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. Neal and Reidsville are taking a road trip to take on Walkertown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Reidsville Wins 19th-Straight Thanks to Jariel Cobb
Reidsville picked up their 19th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Jariel Cobb. Cobb did his part (and then some), rushing for 178 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also picking up 37 receiving yards for the 'W'. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
Unfortunately for West Stokes, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Cobb. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Cobb saw the Wildcats), he rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.

Carter Came Up Big in Morehead's 24-14 Win
Morehead found a leader in Braxton Carter as the squad took down T.W. Andrews on Friday. Carter was dynamite, rushing for 107 yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Morehead: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-5 otherwise.
Morehead's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6. Carter and Morehead will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against North Forsyth at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.

Another Game with at Least Seven Total Tackles from Camereon Cartlidge
Camereon Cartlidge continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his seventh-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least seven total tackles. He picked up a sack and made 16 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
