Recap: Huntsville vs. Athens
In what's become a running theme this season, the Huntsville Panthers gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They never let Athens onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Four seems to be a good number for Huntsville as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They hit Athens with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Maya Poquette (2),
Charlotte Barnes, and
Chloe Curry.
Huntsville's win bumped their record up to 6-3-4. As for Athens, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Huntsville is on the road again on Thursday and plays Grissom at 7:00 p.m. on March 7th. As for Athens, they will take on Columbia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Athens is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Alabama (they are ranked 37th, while Columbia is ranked 181st).
