Football Game Preview: Bowie Volunteers vs. Haltom Buffalos + Official Tickets

The Bowie Volunteers will face off against the Haltom Buffalos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bowie comes in on four and Haltom on three.

Bowie gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Arlington by a score of 21-14. Those 21 points were actually the fewest the Volunteers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The critical scores for Bowie came from Keidric Osunde-Brown, Denzel Ponder, and Jaden Harper.

Meanwhile, Haltom was able to grind out a solid victory over Martin on Friday, taking the game 45-38.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Vudrico Roberson and Daylon Cobb. Roberson had a great game and gained 265 total yards and six touchdowns. Meanwhile, Cobb was balling out in the loss, picking up 114 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 128 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries.

Haltom's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Bowie, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Bowie against Haltom when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-7 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Buffalos' Keenan Jackson, who rushed for 144 yards and one TD while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
