            Jim Thorpe and Panther Valley are an even 5-5 against one another  since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Olympians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Jim Thorpe and four for Panther Valley.
Jim Thorpe made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Palmerton, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Olympians fell just short of the Blue Bombers by a score of  3-1 on Thursday.

 Nikolas Schwartz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned  (and one unearned) runs on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side, Jim Thorpe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tanner MoDavis, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run.
 Meanwhile, Panther Valley came up short against  North Schuylkill on Thursday, falling  9-1.
 Panther Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Jim Thorpe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
