Fort Bend Clements hasn't had much luck against Ridge Point recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. Fort Bend Clements has given up an average of 42.7 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Fort Bend Clements is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Fort Bend Hightower last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rangers had to suffer through a 63-14 loss at the hands of the Hurricanes. The Rangers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-0.

Fort Bend Clements might have lost, but man, George Jreissaty was a machine: he rushed for 136 yards and one TD, and also picked up 30 receiving yards. Jreissaty's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 136 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, Ridge Point strolled into their game last Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Fort Bend Dulles 77-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Panthers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 21st, while the Vikings are ranked 940th).
Fort Bend Clements better focus on containing Brody Bartee and Aiden Akins as the pair were huge in Ridge Point's win. Bartee threw for 135 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes, while Akins rushed for 79 yards and one score on only five carries. Another big playmaker for Ridge Point was Bailen George, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Ridge Point proved: they limited Fort Bend Dulles to a paltry -2.4 yards per carry. The team can thank Brayden Bonik for the heroic effort on defense: he. Ridge Point didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 13.2.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Ridge Point, adding 23 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of George, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.
Fort Bend Clements' defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ridge Point, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.
Thursday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Fort Bend Clements has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 150.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Ridge Point struggles in that department as they've been averaging 161.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Fort Bend Clements was taken down by Ridge Point 77-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Rangers, Austin Carlisle (who threw for 216 yards and seven TDs while completing 90% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
