Baseball Game Preview: Foothill Falcons vs. Palo Verde Panthers

The Foothill Falcons will head out to take on the Palo Verde Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last five games Foothill has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Foothill is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Las Vegas, who was ranked ninth at the time (Foothill was ranked 12th). The Falcons fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered against the Wildcats since April 27, 2019.

Foothill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Straily, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another was Dahlin Scow, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Palo Verde's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to Arbor View. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Palo Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Foothill, their loss dropped their record down to 19-10-1.
