Soccer Recap: Lindenwold Comes Up Short

Lindenwold fell victim to St. Augustine Prep and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Hermits by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Lindenwold can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while St. Augustine Prep are ranked 11th).

This is the second loss in a row for Lindenwold and nudges their season record down to 10-6-1. As for St. Augustine Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-1-1 record this season.

Lindenwold will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Clearview at 4:00 p.m. As for St. Augustine Prep, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Cherokee on the 27th.
