Baseball Recap: Law Government & Justice vs. Washington Heights Expeditionary

Law Government & Justice couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They suffered a rough 13-2 loss at the hands of Washington Heights Expeditionary on Monday.

For Washington Heights Expeditionary's part, Justin Diaz looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Emil Valenzuela was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Anthony Acevado, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Law Government & Justice will head out on the road to square off against Community Health Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Washington Heights Expeditionary, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Eagle Academy at 4:00 p.m.
