Newberry Academy lost to Wardlaw Academy last Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. Newberry Academy came out on top against the Wardlaw Academy Patriots by a score of 39-26. The victory was nothing new for Newberry Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.

Wardlaw Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Colt Bailey, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds. That was a full 50% of Wardlaw Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row Bailey has had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Resse Harper, who scored six points.

Newberry Academy's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Wardlaw Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Newberry Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-34 victory against Richard Winn Academy on the 8th. As for Wardlaw Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-33 defeat against Mead Hall Episcopal School on the 15th.
