Norris is 8-2 against Waverly since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Titans will square off against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Norris' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Waverly's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Norris fell victim to Bennington and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Badgers. Titans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Badgers since on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Waverly won against Pius X on Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Vikings walked away with a 7-2 victory over Seward. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Owen Glassburner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hunter Thoms, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Bruin Sampson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Norris dropped their record down to 17-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Waverly, their win bumped their record up to 19-7.

Norris couldn't quite finish off Waverly in their previous meeting two weeks ago and fell 2-0. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
