Volleyball Recap: Philo Comes Up Short

Philo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the River View Black Bears. The Electrics were not able to make up for their defeat to the Black Bears from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 25-11.

Ava White paced Philo's offense, picking up six kills. White got some help from Halli Harris and her nine assists. Riley Hampp controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

River View found their leader in sophomore Lindyn Fry, who had ten digs and five aces.

Philo's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for River View, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Philo will square off against rival Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, River View is set to challenge their familiar foe John Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
