The Sheridan Rams came into Monday's matchup having lost 15 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Aurora West College Prep Academy on Monday as Sheridan made off with a 38-16 win. The win was just what Sheridan needed coming off of a 40-13 loss in their prior contest.
Natalia Marquez was a one-man wrecking crew for Sheridan as she almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine steals. Melissa Marquez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Sheridan's victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, their defeat was their 12th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-20.
Sheridan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, they will head out on the road to take on Ascent Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
