Germantown Friends's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They walked away with a 59-47 victory over Shipley. Germantown Friends pushed the score to 51-28 by the end of the third, a deficit Shipley cut but never quite recovered from.

Shipley's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Henry Rassmussen, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds Rassmussen has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Danilo Linsalata, who had eight points and five boards.

Germantown Friends' win bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Shipley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which is still a better percentage than their 4-17 record this season.

Coming up, Germantown Friends will square off against Abington Friends at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Abington Friends' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. Shipley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mercersburg Academy at 4:00 p.m. on February 18th.
