Volleyball Recap: Broadalbin-Perth Comes Up Short

Broadalbin-Perth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Walter Panas Panthers. If the Patriots were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2016, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kelsey Walter paced Broadalbin-Perth's offense, picking up three kills. Walter got some help from Payton Foy and her six assists.

Broadalbin-Perth's loss dropped their record down to 10-15-2. As for Walter Panas, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Broadalbin-Perth will take on Queensbury at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Walter Panas, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against St. Mary's on the 11th.
