Soccer Game Preview: Pilgrim vs. Lighthouse Christian

Pilgrim is 2-7 against Lighthouse Christian since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Saints at 3:30 p.m. Pilgrim will be strutting in after a victory while Lighthouse Christian will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Pilgrim challenged Glendale Adventist on Monday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Cougars. The result was nothing new for Pilgrim, who have now won three matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to seven goals the game before, Lighthouse Christian was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against Rio Hondo Prep, falling 4-0.

Pilgrim is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those four matchups. As for Lighthouse Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Everything went Pilgrim's way against Lighthouse Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, as Pilgrim made off with a 4-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
