Softball Game Preview: North Stars vs. West Vikings

For the second straight game, North will face off against West. The Stars will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

North came out on top against West on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run second inning. The Stars blew past the Vikings 18-8. The result was nothing new for the Stars, who have now won 16 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Bayleigh Wood was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March. Allison Jauregui was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 22 hits. They are 12-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

West's defeat was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-16. As for North, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.
