Basketball Game Preview: Kuna Kavemen vs. Timberline Wolves

The Kuna Kavemen and the Timberline Wolves will round out the year against one another at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Kuna is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 60-48 victory over Birmingham on Friday. While the Kavemen didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Timberline ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 58-57 photo finish over Preston. That's two games straight that the Wolves have won by just one point.

Timberline is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Kuna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Kuna opened the new year with a less-than-successful 53-44 loss to Timberline. Can Kuna avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
