Football Recap: Springdale Comes Up Short

Springdale lost against Jeannette back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dynamos were beaten by the Jayhawks 50-8. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

A big part of Jeannette's victory came down to the chemistry between Kymone Brown and his top target Jayce Powell. Brown threw for 170 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 passes while Powell picked up 122 receiving yards and two scores. Powell's longest reception was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per catch total.

Springdale's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Jeannette, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springdale will challenge rival Frazier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Jeannette is set to square off against their familiar foe Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
