Baseball Recap: St. Joseph Central Comes Up Short

If St. Joseph Central was feeling good fresh off their 11-4 takedown of Greater Beckley Christian on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Irish lost 13-6 to the Tug Valley Panthers on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Irish have suffered since April 1st.

Wyatt Pence was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Hudson Moosavi was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

St. Joseph Central's loss dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Tug Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-15 record this season.
