Baseball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette lost against Sulphur back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lafayette took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sulphur. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Sulphur, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-14 record this season.

While Lafayette had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
