Basketball Game Preview: Chatham HomeSchool Thunder vs. Southeastern HomeSchool Cardinals

Chatham HomeSchool and Southeastern HomeSchool are an even 5-5 against one another since November of 2019, but not for long. The Chatham HomeSchool Thunder will head out on the road to take on the Southeastern HomeSchool Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Chatham HomeSchool will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Southeastern HomeSchool beat New Life Camp 57-50 on Thursday. Given the Cardinals' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Storm are ranked 346th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Southeastern HomeSchool's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points per game. As for Chatham HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-12 record this season.

Chatham HomeSchool came up short against Southeastern HomeSchool when the teams last played back in January, falling 56-50. Can Chatham HomeSchool avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
