Basketball Recap: Paris Comes Up Short

Paris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 54-35 bruising from the Lamar Warriors. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Lamar was led to victory by Kaz Crotts and Ben Noonan. Crotts went 8 of 14 en route to 23 points and eight rebounds, while Noonan dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards. Noonan has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last nine times he's played. Kade Boen was another key player, putting up seven points.

Paris' loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Lamar, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-3.

Paris will square off against Lavaca at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-64 victory against Jasper on the 27th.
