Basketball Recap: Prairie's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Prairie waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Waterloo West Wahawks by a score of 58-49. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-44 back in December of 2024.

Prairie pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.2 points per game. As for Waterloo West, they moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Prairie will welcome Cedar Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Prairie's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games. Waterloo West has already played their next match (against Iowa City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
