Basketball Recap: Rogers Heritage Takes a Loss

Rogers Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 68-29 loss at the hands of the Northside Grizzlies. The War Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-21.

Northside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Erianna Gooden out in front who posted 12 points along with six boards and four steals. What's more, Gooden also posted an 80% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Hazley Grotjohn, who shot 70% from the field en route to 17 points and three steals.

Rogers Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 1-23. As for Northside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Rogers Heritage wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-33 loss against Bentonville West on the 25th. As for Northside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-47 defeat against Har-Ber on the 25th.
