Baseball Recap: Olathe South's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Spring Hill on Monday, Olathe South came back down to earth. The Falcons fell just short of the Shawnee Mission West Vikings by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Falcons have suffered since March 28, 2024.

Olathe South's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Shawnee Mission West, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Olathe South will face off against Shawnee Mission East on Saturday. As for Shawnee Mission West, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 0-0 tie against Eudora on the 2nd.
