Basketball Game Preview: River View Panthers vs. Warden Cougars + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, River View will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They and the Warden Cougars will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River View has given up an average of 54.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

River View lost 60-35 to Kittitas on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 163rd, while the Coyotes are ranked 42nd).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Warden). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 74-71 victory over Bridgeport on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on three straight.

River View's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Warden, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

River View lost to Warden on the road by a decisive 68-52 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
