Preview: Trinity Trojans vs. Lutheran West Longhorns

Trinity is 9-1 against Lutheran West since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Trinity Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Lutheran West Longhorns at 1:30 p.m. Trinity will be strutting in after a victory while Lutheran West will be coming in after a loss.

In what's become a running theme this season, Trinity gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They blew past Independence 69-42 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Trinity has posted against Independence since February 1, 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity to victory, but perhaps none more so than Neva'eh Harrison, who scored 23 points along with four steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harrison has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of De'oshania Bennett, who scored nine points along with eight steals and seven rebounds.

Lutheran West suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 53-28 walloping at the hands of Cuyahoga Heights. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lutheran West has scored all season.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Lutheran West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Everything went Trinity's way against Lutheran West in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as Trinity made off with a 72-49 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trinity since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
