Volleyball Recap: Penn Beats Mishawaka for Their Fourth Straight Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Penn had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mishawaka Cavemen. The victory was familiar territory for the Kingsmen, who have now won four contests in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Penn to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carson Petty, who had 27 assists and seven digs. That's the most assists Petty has posted since back in August. Montana Swartz was another key player, getting four digs and two aces.

Penn's win bumped their record up to 23-6. As for Mishawaka, the loss snapped their winning streak at five matches and leaves them with a 25-8 record.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Penn and Warsaw will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mishawaka does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
