Basketball Recap: TPLS Christian Academy Comes Up Short

TPLS Christian Academy extended their losing streak to eight on Monday, dropping them down to 0-8. They were dealt an 88-36 loss at the hands of the Cresset Christian Academy Eagles. The Lions lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 80-50 score last time.

As for Cresset Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Cresset Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trinity Jefferson led the charge by putting up 24 points. That's the most points Jefferson has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Jada Bryant, who earned 19 points.

Coming up, TPLS Christian Academy will square off against Mt. Zion Prep Academy Blue at 5:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for Cresset Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-24 victory against Wakefield on the 2nd.
