Baseball Recap: Imperial Takes a Loss

Imperial was the 4-1 winner over San Luis when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Imperial Tigers fell just short of the San Luis Sidewinders by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The loss was the Tigers' first of the season.

Logan Higginbotham and Izaiah Perez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Higginbotham went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Perez scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Having lost for the first time this season, Imperial fell to 2-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: San Luis beat Imperial by a score of 12-0 later that day.
