Basketball Game Preview: La Salle Academy Rams vs. Tolman Tigers

The La Salle Academy Rams will face off against the Tolman Tigers on Friday.

La Salle Academy heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 63-49 to Bishop Hendricken.

Meanwhile, Tolman faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Tolman claimed a resounding 73-43 victory over East Providence. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on five straight.

Tolman's win came from a few key players La Salle Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nathan Borden, who went 11-for-13 to rack up 23 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (85%). John Hilaire was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.

La Salle Academy's loss dropped their record down to 21-3. As for Tolman, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9.

Everything came up roses for La Salle Academy against Tolman in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured an 85-50 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for La Salle Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
