Jerome extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They lost to the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks on the road by a 42-28 margin. On the bright side, the 28- point effort marked the Tigers' highest-scoring contest to date.

Jerome didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Xaiden Van Tassell and Taiten Van Tassell. Xaiden's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 138 receiving yards.

As for Canyon Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 2-4. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Jerome: they've now won four in a row.

Brenner Kunz went supernova, picking up 147 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Those 147 receiving yards gave him a new career-high.

Jerome wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 29-18 defeat against Mountain Home on the 3rd. As for Canyon Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-6 win against Burley on the 3rd.
