Baseball Recap: Italy Comes Up Short

Italy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 15-2 to the Itasca Wampus Cats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wampus Cats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-9 loss last Friday.

Italy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kace Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Italy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Itasca, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Italy will challenge rival Avalon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Itasca is set to take on their familiar foe Frost at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
