Football Recap: Batavia Takes a Loss

Batavia played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 34-12 to East/World of Inquiry. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East/World of Inquiry's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Junayde Richardson led the charge by rushing for 57 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 154 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten passes. Richardson didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made two total tackles. East/World of Inquiry's leading receiver Dezmon Jackson was Richardson's top target yet again, picking up 126 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Batavia suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-2. As for East/World of Inquiry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Batavia has already played their next matchup, a 34-12 defeat against East on the 10th. As for East/World of Inquiry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canandaigua Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East/World of Inquiry will need to watch out since the Gray Wolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
