Middletown was led to victory by Leila Johnson, who turned in her biggest game of the season on Saturday. Johnson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds, good enough to set a new career-high in points in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: she has now pulled down nine or more in the last four games she's played.

Johnson and Middletown will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Monroe at 2:00 p.m. on December 27th. The Middies got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Hornets, probably because Johnson had a solid game then too: she posted two points and ten rebounds.
