On Tuesday, Hoover faced Oak Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hoover Buccaneers never let the Oak Mountain Eagles get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Considering the Buccaneers have won five games by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elise Marquardt and DeeDee Udeh scored all four of Hoover's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

The victory snapped Hoover's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-5 record. As for Oak Mountain, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hoover will welcome McGill-Toolen at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Mountain, they will face off against Hewitt-Trussville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hewitt-Trussville will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Oak Mountain surely won't give up without a fight.
