Volleyball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

If Madison was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Grossmont on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Madison Warhawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monrovia Wildcats on Friday.

Madison came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 21-25, 25-23, 25-23.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Monrovia, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.

Coming up, Madison will challenge Scripps Ranch at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monrovia, they will venture away from home to challenge Orange Glen at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
