Volleyball Game Preview: Julian Eagles vs. Calexico Mission RoadRunners

For the second straight game, Julian will face off against Calexico Mission. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

If Calexico Mission wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Julian, they should've done a better job of containing Arabelle Lewis. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the RoadRunners on Tuesday thanks in part to Lewis, who hit 75% for seven kills and 22 aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.1 aces per game.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Julian was: they took every set by at least 17 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-8, 25-6.

Julian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Calexico Mission, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
