Lakewood has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 4. They came up short against the Cherokee Trail Cougars on Saturday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Lakewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 128th, while Cherokee Trail are ranked 36th).

Lakewood's goal came courtesy of Anna Sosville, which was the first she's scored this season.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Cherokee Trail, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-2 record this season.

Lakewood will head out on the road to take on Chatfield at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cherokee Trail, they will face off against Grandview at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
