Mundelein's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Hersey on Monday. The Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warren Township Blue Devils 2-1. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Mundelein got a great performance from Baris Brua as he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Brua has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mundelein's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jake Junia, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Mundelein's victory bumped their record up to 13-5-2. As for Warren Township, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6.

Mundelein will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
