Volleyball Recap: Pilgrim Comes Up Short

Pilgrim was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Portsmouth. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pilgrim of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Pilgrim's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Portsmouth, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pilgrim will host Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Portsmouth, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against West Warwick at 6:30 p.m.
