Basketball Recap: Peachtree Ridge Beats Meadowcreek for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Peachtree Ridge entered their tilt with Meadowcreek on Monday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Meadowcreek Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Mustangs two weeks ago, they had to take a 48-47 loss.

Defeat or not, Meadowcreek got some senior leadership from Fred Williams and Hady Diane. Williams went 6 for 11 to rack up 13 points and four steals, while Diane posted 11 points. That's the most points Williams has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Enzo Wea, who had five points and six rebounds.

Peachtree Ridge's win bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Meadowcreek, their loss dropped their record down to 19-8.

Looking ahead, Peachtree Ridge will challenge Norcross at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Peachtree Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Norcross likes a good challenge. As for Meadowcreek, they will square off against Duluth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meadowcreek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.7 points per game this season.
