Basketball Recap: Brookwood Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Winder-Barrow, Brookwood was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They rang in the new year with a 62-51 victory over the Social Circle Redskins.

Despite the defeat, Social Circle saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Leson Nelson almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braylon Dennis, who posted eight points and four steals.

Brookwood's win bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Social Circle, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Brookwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-42 victory against Shiloh on the 4th. As for Social Circle, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 56-43 loss against Parkview on the 4th.
