Heyworth typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday LeRoy proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Hornets. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

While LeRoy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18.

Despite the loss, Heyworth still got an impressive performance from Lyla Tate, who had 14 kills and nine digs. Tate has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more kills the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ryleigh Johnson, who had 11 digs and one assist.

LeRoy's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Heyworth, their defeat ended a seven-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-5.

Coming up, LeRoy will welcome El Paso-Gridley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Heyworth, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Delavan on the 6th.
