Basketball Recap: Barnesville Falls to Monroe Central in First Game of Season

Barnesville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against the Monroe Central Seminoles on Friday, falling 58-15. The Shamrocks lost against the Seminoles in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 49-44 score last time.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Barnesville is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Shenandoah at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Monroe Central, they will head out to square off against Shadyside at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Seminoles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
