Baseball Recap: Lawrenceville Takes a Loss

Lawrenceville lost against Mt. Carmel back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians fell just short of the Golden Aces by a score of 6-5. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elliott Gerritsen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those hits were his first of the season.

Lawrenceville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Mt. Carmel, their win bumped their record up to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Lawrenceville will host Vincennes Rivet at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. Mt. Carmel has already played their next matchup (against Princeton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
