Recap: Rawlins Outlaws vs. Torrington Trailblazers
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 11 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Rawlins Outlaws proved on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 68-53 win over Torrington. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rawlins.
Jaxson Allard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Damien Vialpando was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Torrington's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mac Hibben, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Landre Greiman, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
Rawlins is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Torrington, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Buffalo the next time they take the court. Rawlins will head out to face Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Torrington will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
