Soccer Recap: Okeechobee Comes Up Short

Okeechobee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. 2026 welcomed they with a 9-1 loss courtesy of the South Fork Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against South Fork this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 back in December of 2025.

Okeechobee's goal came courtesy of Dulce Leal, who's now up to four this season.

Okeechobee's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for South Fork, they pushed their record up to 11-3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Okeechobee will square off against Tradition Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Okeechobee will be up against Tradition Prep's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.25 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for South Fork, they will face off against Lincoln Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
